About this Event
Join the Greenville County Museum of Art for a special talk with author Jennifer Dasal, whose latest book, The Club, uncovers the fascinating history of the American Girls’ Club in Paris—a residence for American women artists from 1893 to 1914.
Set in Belle Époque Paris, The Club explores a vibrant community of independent and ambitious women who pursued their artistic careers abroad. The book features artist Anne Goldthwaite, whose work is currently on view at GCMA in Anne Goldthwaite: Modern Woman.
Following the talk, Dasal will sign copies of her book, available for purchase in the Museum Gift Shop.
Jennifer Dasal is a writer, curator, and host of the podcast ArtCurious. With over 20 years of experience in the art world, she previously served as a curator at the North Carolina Museum of Art and has led global art tours, media appearances, and public programs.
