We’re delighted to welcome Sensational Salsa Stars Santee Hernadez & Giorgina Sarria to our Sunday Workshop for a special 2-hour improvers+ workshop 💃✨
SANTEE HERNADEZ 🕺
Santee was born in Colombia and moved to London as a child, Santee Hernandez began his dance journey at the age of 9 years old, competed as a soloist and went on numerous TV shows where he was called to showcase his talent.
At the age of 16, he traveled to Colombia with Fuerza Latina to train with Imperio Juvenil. He also competed with them and won several competitions and titles in Colombia, which inspired him to continue his journey and become one of the most saught out dancers in Europe.
He started teachingat his dance academy, Los Rumberos, and expanded to learn different salsa styles such as On2, Son, LA, arcorbatic performances and Afro rumba. He competed internationally by himself and with his group, and he became one of the most wanted and respected teachers in the UK. Teaming up with Sasha Philips, they travelled together, performing, competing and teaching, making a name for themselves in the European salsa festivals.
GIORGINA SARRIA 💃
Giorgina has been passionately dancing salsa for the past 10 years. Her salsa journey began when her stepfather, a former instructor at the Los Rumberos academy, took her to a class, where she instantly fell in love with the art form. She started with Cali-style salsa and has since explored a variety of other rhythms and dance styles.
She remains actively involved with Los Rumberos, where she continues to learn, teach, and compete in performances. Six years ago, she joined Salsafuria, an experience that has contributed tremendously to her growth as a dancer. Through the performance team, she has had the privilege of performing and competing internationally at numerous salsa congresses, gaining valuable insights and inspiration from professional salsa dancers around the world.
Together, they combine experience, energy and style to deliver engaging high level classes and performances, inspiring dancers at all levels! 🎶✨
