Show Description
Three distinct Ottawa songwriters come together for an intimate night of emotionally driven live music. Hercules brings versatile alternative pop/rock songwriting, moving from somber storytelling to powerful vocal moments and genre-bending textures. June Wood offers melancholic folk-country songs shaped by busking, troubadour tradition, and conversational lyricism. Joshua Isaac closes the circle with piano-driven alternative built on tension and release, pairing powerful vocals with cinematic dynamics. Expect a night of heartfelt songwriting, strong voices, and performances that move between quiet intimacy and explosive emotional release.
Bios
Hercules is known for her versatility and range in both voice and in her songwriting. With dynamic range from powerful belting to breathy and sweet, she sings from her heart. She creates music in all kinds of styles but mostly with a somber alternative sound to best present her storytelling lyricism. Driven by a genuine love for music, she continues to experiment with new styles. From her techno synth pop EP titled “Detention” release back in October 2025 to her upcoming EP with more rock influence, she’s always looking to showcase her songwriting.
June Wood, poet turned folk singer wears the influence of the Ottawa folk country scene on their sleeve. A bonafide troubadour, June grew up immersed in the language of cowboys and heartsick wanderers. June’s writing is melancholic and conversational focused on changes and the people who stick around long enough to notice. Having spent hours busking the streets of Ottawa June has crafted a distinct voice primarily building from traditional country and folk music. With this focus on folk and country June is also able to bend other genres like rock and punk towards their distinct sound.
Joshua Isaac is a solo piano/vocal act delivering narrative, piano-driven alternative built on dynamic tension and release. He is known for his powerful vocals as well as piano skills which allow him to move from controlled emptiness to explosive, cinematic climaxes. He blends power and restraint with emotionally-gripping songwriting and lyricism to perform music that stays with you long after the show.
