Join us weekly for Sunday Service at First Unitarian Church in New Bedford; were everyone is welcome, there's no dogma in sight, and our music director, Randy, just may play David Bowie or the Star Wars theme on the piano.
Services are led by our very own Rev. Karen LeBlanc, the UUNB Social Justice committee, or a guest speaker.
We believe that love is at the center of everything we do.
We believe that everyone is free to formulate their religious beliefs according to their individual needs. We are the community you are looking for.
We have been the home to abolitionists, heretics, transcendentalists, & revolutionaries, since 1708.
UU New Bedford has been a champion for LGBTQ+ rights since the beginning, and when we say everyone is welcome, we mean it!
We are a Welcoming Congregation. We know that religious spaces haven’t always been welcoming places for all people, especially when it comes to gender and sexuality.

For over 25 years we have worked hard to make sure that the LGBTQ+ individuals are full members of our faith communities. Being welcoming means striving for radical inclusion, and creating spaces that honor every part of our identities, backgrounds, and experiences.
We celebrate the lives of all people and their ways of expressing their love for each other.
We offer a Way Cool Sunday School program led by our amazing RE Director, Yasmin. Your kids will beg you to come back to church, she is THAT awesome.
