Chiptunes artist Sam Mulligan and rock band Fortune Frenzy perform at Play Arcade in downtown New Bedford!Sam Mulligan is a rock singer and songwriter who specializes in silly lyrics, grungy guitars, and dope gameboy beats. Based in Turners Falls, Massachusetts, he has been performing live with gameboys as his backing band since 2012. With an emphasis on equal parts positivity and absurdity, Sam's goal is to make you smile, but hey, it's your face and you should do what you want with it.
Fortune Frenzy is a rock band from New Bedford Massachusetts fronted by Michael McLean. Sometimes Michael thinks that his cats don't like their songs very much because they leave the room whenever the band starts playing. Except for Smoosh, who usually stays and that is part of why she is the best cat in the world. The band includes David Burnett on bass and Scott Bishop on drums. Their cats are mostly neutral about the music. Fortune Frenzy performs songs about love and death and divorce as well as songs about Smoosh. People compare their sound to Jimmy Eat World and the Goo Goo Dolls.
