The Sunday Self Care Session...

Taking time for your own self care is so important in our busy day to day lives. Join us at our Sunday Self Care Session where we will be taking time out to go a little slower.

We will practice mindfulness, breath-work, guided meditation, therapeutic journaling, and have time for some deep relaxation with therapuetic sound from quartz crystal singing bowls and therapeutic percussion. No previous experience is necessary and these sessions are suitable for all levels!

Mindfulness is a wonderful technique to help us unwind, reconnect our body and mind, and to come back into the present moment. If you are feeling a little stressed, over busy, overwhelmed or anxious then these sessions can hopefully help you have a little pause and time for you.

Therapeutic sound supports relaxation by activiating our parasympathetic nervous system, allowing us to relax and heal. Sound can transport us to a different area of our wellbeing, using the vibration to release tension and experience feelings of happiness and stillness.

These sessions are all about promoting your own self care. Taking time for yourself, inviting relaxation and boosting our wellbeing.

There will be time to connect with others over a cup of tea and sweet treat at the end.

What to bring...

It's a good idea to wear clothes that you feel comfortable in. If you want to lie on the floor for the session then bring along a yoga mat. There are also chairs if you'd prefer to sit. Bring along a blanket and a cushion too if you want to feel extra cosy!

There are a limited number of yoga mats and supportive cushions/bolsters available.

Event Timing

Doors will open 10 minutes before the start.

Doors will be locked PROMPT.

Late arrivals will not be admitted.

You will receive the DOOR ENTRY CODE in your confirmation email. Remember to check SPAM & JUNK email folders for this.

Parking

Free car parking is available on Sundays at the end of Broad Street in Herring Lane pay and display car park - Postcode PE11 1TL.

Sound healing is a safe and effective stress management tool. However, if you have any of the following conditions or are under supervision by a mental health team/health care provider; please check it is safe for you to attend.Severe mental health condition:

Clinical Depression, Bipolar, Psychosis, Schizophrenia.

Pregnant women in their first or third trimester.

Hearing / Tinnitus / Sound Sensitive Conditions.

Metal implants / Pacemaker.Epilepsy.
