Join us for a free screening of "Always a Winner: Roy Curry, A Quarterback Ahead of His Time" at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 26, at the Two Mississippi Museums. Directed by Seth Schwartz, the one-hour film tells the story of Roy Curry who grew up as the son of sharecroppers in Lula, Mississippi. He played quarterback for his high school in Clarksdale, then at Jackson State, and went on to play two seasons as a wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL.This program is in partnership with the Mississippi Humanities Council, Mississippi Film Society, and the Mississippi Film Office.
