It’s bracket season at Sunday Run Club… and this time, your mileage decides everything. 🏀🔥
For this special March Madness–themed run, every mile you log determines your tournament seed — but with a twist. Your whole number mileage earns you the opposite seed in a 16-runner bracket.
Run 5 miles? You’re the 12 seed.
Run 8 miles? You’re the 9 seed.
Run 12 miles? You’re the 5 seed.
Run 16 miles? You claim the 1 seed.
The longer you go, the stronger your position — but every seed has upset potential.
Your conference placement is decided by your decimal:
• .01–.25 → South
• .26–.50 → East
• .51–.75 → Midwest
• .76–.00 → West
So 6.92 miles? That makes you an 11 seed in the West.
8.44 miles? A 9 seed in the East.
Strategy is part of the game. Do you chase a top seed? Aim for a Cinderella story? Adjust your decimal to land in the conference you want?
This is friendly competition, creative mileage planning, and classic SRC energy. No refs. No trophies. Just pride, progress, and bragging rights.
