✨Ecstatic Dance is a freeform movement journey where all are welcome. Whether it's your first dance or your fiftieth, this is a beginner-friendly, trauma-informed, and family-friendly gathering where you're invited to move in whatever way feels authentic for your body.
💜There are no steps to learn, no experience required, and no expectations. All of you is welcome here. The joyful parts, the messy parts, the playful parts, the tired parts, the grieving parts, and everything in between. It's a place where we can celebrate our unique selves while connecting to a common source through movement, music, and community.
⭐Conscious movement has the power to help us shake off some of the stress, tension, and heaviness we carry from living in this world. Dance can help us reconnect with our bodies, express what words cannot, release stuck energy, and remember the simple joy of being fully alive.
✨To help create a respectful and sacred container, we honor a few simple dance floor agreements:
• No shoes, unless medically needed
• No talking on the dance floor
• No recreational drugs or alcohol
• No photos or videos of the dancefloor so you can get as weird as you want
💜Our dance space at Cocoon is snug, so expect it to warm up once we get moving. Dress in lightweight, comfortable clothing, bring plenty of water to stay hydrated, and feel free to pack snacks for yourself.

Ariel E. Monroe (she/her/they) helps people comfortably navigate life’s transitions while becoming better versions of themselves. Ariel started an alternative wellness practice called Delta E.M. Wellness with the pillars of mind, body and spirit care and wellbeing and the foundation of massage therapy, mindfulness, forgiveness and gratitude practice, and encouraging stillness, intentional body awareness and processing out loud in the current environment.

🌈This week’s warm-up Ariel will be leading a gentle warm up to invite you fully into your body, to wrap yourself in gentle compassion and move with flow both solo and among sweet community. She's going to bring us from grounded stillness, up onto our feet and invite in silliness. Looking forward to engaging with TLC together!

🎶Morgana Zilarra is a New York-based Sonic Alchemist, Art and Music Curator and Event Producer who believes in the power of music and art to unite, uplift, heal and awaken the fire within. She delights in taking her audiences on celestial journeys of deep exploration with a unique musical style she calls ‘Melodic Magic’ which infuses Organic House and Progressive World Music with Melodic Techno, Psybient and Trance. Her mission is to transport her listeners to a completely uninhibited Zen and awakened state. A yogi and nature enthusiast, Morgana weaves earthy, progressive ethno world beats with a modern, electronic edge to stir you both physically and spiritually.
Having performed at art festivals and exhibit openings, galas, ecstatic dances, night markets, street fairs and block parties across the U.S., Morgana made her Burning Man debut in 2022 spinning for Kostume Kult, Sweet Spot, Fire & Ice and ARCH Production & Design’s art car, ‘Harvey the Disco Kitty.’ She made her first overseas appearance New Year’s Eve 2025 in Casablanca, Morocco where she plans to return for an extended stay and tour.
Morgana has also showcased her musical artistry at a variety of music festivals and wellness retreats including Vibe Fest, EarthVibes, iFEEL NYC's Summer Escape, Dance Beyond Campout, Kurtstock 2.5, the LightHouse Gathering and Peace Temple’s Fermenting Dreams, among others.

🦋Ecstatic Dance as we know it began in the year 2000, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Little did we know that this would inspire a movement, a culture, and a community, that would spread across the world.
✨️Dance with us on Sunday mornings in gratitude for being alive. Sunday has long been seen as a day to celebrate the Divine! We tap into that in a non-dogmatic way. A space for unity, community & connection to something larger than ourselves.

Boombox Ben is an event organizer in Philadelphia. He came to Ecstatic Dance in 2023 and it has massively changed his life since then. Ben has been called to organize community events and share the joy that dancing has brought him.
Veronica Carpenter of Blissful Butterfly Yoga
Veronica began practicing ecstatic dance in 2021. Yoga helped her feel safe in her body, ecstatic dance helped her feel free. She found so much joy and nourishment in a Sunday morning practice, when Ecstatic Dance Philly went on summer break she and Ben didn't want to see them go so here we are. She now helps organize events to share that experience with others.
