🔥 ABOUT THIS GATHERING

Many of us know families or have children and grandchildren. Everyone benefits when we gather together with people of all ages in purposeful & playful ways especially with the warm and connection of Fire

⏰ 3 PARTS: 3:00 - 7:00 pm

1. PLAYTIME. We'll have some games available and bring your own.
2. TELLING OF SACRED STORY. This ancient story offers a traditional wisdom perspective about the cycles of human existence -- and what our lives together have the potential to be.
3. POT LUCK MEAL. We'll gather in our home. Huichol art service project also available for viewing/purchase.

❤️‍🔥 WHAT IS SACRED FIRE?

In these times of uncertainty and rapid change, it is common to feel increasingly disconnected from ourselves, each other, and the world.

For millennia, fire was the center of community life. The place where people gathered around for warmth, stories, ceremony and connection.
Sacred Fire is a global network of initiated Firekeepers who help people experience the benefits of Fire’s primordial healing presence and guidance in small communities around the world.
People of all walks of life and relgion are welcome. Fire helps us feel and experience our common humanity.

🔥 MEET YOUR FIREKEEPERS

Lisa Lichtig and Patrick Hanaway are trained & initiated Firekeepers in the International Sacred Fire Community. They have been hosting and facilitating Sacred Fires for over 20 years and continue to receive ongoing education to effectively work with community and fire's powers of illumination and transformation. They are stewards of the oldest consecrated Sacred Fire Community Hearth, holding sacred space for personal and community healing and transformation.

In addition, both Lisa & Patrick are medical doctors and healers (Mara’akame) in the Wixárika shamanic healing tradition. Bridging modern medicine with ancient wisdom, they participate in or lead pilgrimage to sacred sites, conduct ceremonies and offer individual healing to help people find balance and purpose in life.

📋 IMPORTANT DETAILS

Venue: You're coming to the land where we live—please drive slowly on the dirt road. The Sacred Fire Council House is a covered, semi-outdoor structure.

Weather: We gather rain or shine. We cancel only if roads are dangerous.

What to Bring: Clothing for outdoor comfort. Potluck dish. Any outdoor games. We provide water, chairs, blankets, and back jacks. Monetary donations are welcome.

Not Permitted: Drugs, alcohol, firearms, pets.

Photography: We may take photos. Let us know if you prefer not to be photographed.

Camping: Arrange by special request. Please see camping guidelines.

Animals: While we love 'em, please leave furry friends at home.

Cancellations: Please cancel ASAP via Eventbrite so others can attend.
