Sunday, June 28th- First Cuts, Forever Blooms: A Stained Glass Primer
(registration link below)
Create a bouquet that will never fade! This primer for absolute beginners invites you to engage with every step of the creative process. It’s perfect for those who want more than a surface-level experience, but aren’t quite ready to commit to the full-day intensive Crash Course Workshop. In an afternoon, your instructor, Jennifer Austin, a glass artist with 30+ years of experience, will guide you through an introduction to the tools and techniques of glass cutting, grinding, foiling, lead wrapping, soldering, and wire work. Students will cut colorful flower petals and leaves from glass of their choosing, select plant stake designs featuring bugs, birds, and whimsical symbols. Creations will be soldered to twisted wire stems and enhanced with decorative wire accents. For those looking for a more comprehensive beginner course, please check out the Stained Glass Crash Course.
For Ages 16+, 16-17 with parent participation. Students must be 16+ on the day of the activity.
