This is the funniest corner in Highlandtown, and we say that with confidence and zero rehearsal. Baltimore’s funniest improvisers take suggestions and turn them into fast-paced, unscripted comedy right before your eyes.

FACT!: A character-driven musical show weaving together a story with a moral at the center of everything. And that’s a FACT!

Hippie and Frenchie: Building from a suggestion for an unusual location for a first encounter, they discover surprising connections between quirky characters.

Teen Angst: An improvised teen movie with all the trappings and tropes of those classics (from whatever era means classic to you).

What is an improv show, exactly?

Improv is live theater created spontaneously by the performers with the inspiration of the audience. Unless noted otherwise, it’s a comedy show, made even more exciting, intriguing, and hilarious by the fact that none of it is pre-scripted! At an improv show you’ll see a wide range of creative and fascinating humans perform a highwire act by making comedy out of thin air! It can take many forms, including short competitive games, slice of life scenes, and full length sitcom or movie style performances!

The Highwire Center is Highwire Improv's home base in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore! Part of Highlandtown Main Street and the Highlandtown Arts District, The Highwire Center is home to classes, free workshops, shows, community events, corporate training, and more!
