NEWS — Napa Emergency Women’s Services (commonly known as NEWS) is a nonprofit organization in Napa County dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Since its founding in 1981, NEWS has provided free, confidential, and trauma-informed services to people of all backgrounds, offering safety, hope, healing, and empowerment to individuals and families affected by abuse. Their comprehensive support includes a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, court advocacy, children’s programs, prevention education, and outreach — all designed to help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and strength. In addition to direct services, NEWS works to promote safer communities by advancing prevention, education, advocacy, and social change throughout Napa County.
