This experience promises fantastic beer, sensational pizza, and a lively journey through brewing history. Enjoy signature food and beer at each location, discovering the story behind Elephant & Co.’s origins and evolution—the idea for Eastern Market Brewing Co. Began, like so many great ideas, on a porch with friends in lawn chairs and beer in hand. Dayne, one of the founders, had recently returned to Michigan from England and purchased a farm with a beautifully finished barn. Sitting on that porch, he and his friends dreamed up the idea of a brewery, sparking what would become EMBC—a side hustle turned passion project. After a chance encounter with a “for sale” sign in Detroit’s Eastern Market, they secured 2515 Riopelle, fell in love with the neighborhood, and began their brewery’s transformation. Their goal? To revitalize Eastern Market’s historic brewing legacy while supporting and celebrating the local community.
Today, Eastern Market Brewing Co. celebrates a mix of tradition and experimentation, continuously brewing new flavors with a commitment to the community. This tour will let you experience that vision firsthand and see how that vision has now grown to three more locations.
