We continue the 'writing' theme this month: community member Mark Thompson will tell us about his 'adventures in fiction'. Mark has so far published the first two books in his Take Umbrage series, (tragi)comedy novels which recreate the spirit of 1986 and 1996 in the commuter town of Umbrage, England. As globalisation sweeps in, the inhabitants stuggle to cope. The trouble is, no matter where they go, chaos ensues and people want to silence them by fair means or foul. These are funny and though-provoking books. Mark will tell us about his adventures writing and publishing them.
Plus there will be our usual mix of singing great songs together with the house band, reflections, chats, tea and cake and community all in a non-religious setting. Let's celebrate this amazing life together. Free to attend, family and dog friendly.
