Sunday Afternoon Concert Series Vol.13

Our next Sunday afternoon concert at Ascension Church will be an Organ Recital by an excellent organ recitalist, Bruce Burbidge! He is Organist at Christ Church Cathedral, Hamilton, and will perform Superb music by Bach, Mendelssohn, Vierne, Stanley and Whitlock. Our wonderful Casavant Organ shines in the resonance of its church!

Bruce Burbidge was born in Toronto and received his early musical training in Peterborough, Ontario. When still in his teens he moved to England where he was awarded a series of organ scholarships at King’s School, Rochester (Kent), Christ’s College, Cambridge, and Westminster RC Cathedral, London. For many years his professional activity combined music with pastoral ministry and teaching philosophy. He moved back to Canada in 2023 and holds the post of Director of Music Ministries at Christ’s Church Cathedral, Hamilton, and music director of Hamilton Sings!
