Calling all lovers of the Sun — and of music! This is the event for you!
Sun Day - Madison is part of the first-ever nationwide Sun Day, a day of celebration highlighting the many ways the Sun powers our lives—from rooftop solar to agrivoltaics, from wind power to heat pumps, from healthier soils to clean energy innovations, from sustainable food to sustainable lives.
There will be live music, food trucks, kids activities (including face painting), booths from the many participating groups, and hands-on opportunities to learn about solar, sustainability, and regenerative practices.
And, like the Sun itself, it is FREE. (Except for the food trucks.)
When: Sunday (naturally), September 21st, 1 to 5pm
Where: Westmorland Park, 4114 Tokay Blvd in Madison
Who: The event is organized by UW-Madison’s SHALL lab, with about 20 other partners (see the list below)
The bands that will play are:
— 1 to 2pm: Tsuzamen
— 2:30 to 3:30pm: Les Cordes en Bleu
— 4 to 5pm: Tani and the Afrofunk Stars

Come play in, and learn about, the basic source of all life on this planet!
