About the artist:

Jason Clotter, a bassist from Puerto Cortes Honduras, currently resides in the mecca of jazz: New York City. During his early years migrating from Honduras to New York City, he has studied the double bass since age 17. Jason was invited to attend Ceila Cruz Bronx High School of Music to Study the Double Bass. He has grown tremendously since he started playing the double bass in high school. Jason has taken part in many prestigeous Programs and organizations such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, National Association for Music Education (NAFME), Manhattan School of Music Pre College and much more. Jason has shared the stage with numerous great artists and bands such as the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Samara Joy, Vincent Herring, Marquis Hill, Wallace Roney, Eric Lewis, Steve Davis, Jerry Weldon, Jazzmeia Horn, Joe Farnsworth, Wynton Marsalis and many more Jazz legends. Jason has performed and toured all around the world in many prestiges venues around the world such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Smalls Jazz Club, Smoke Jazz Club, Carnegie Hall, Blue Note, Ronnie Scotts and Jason as well as performing on Jazz festival stages all around like the Blue Note Jazz Festival, Montclair Jazz Fest, Madrid Jazz Festival ( Spain), Love Supreme Jazz Festival, JAVA Jazz Festival and many more across Europe, Asia and Africa. Jason was had the Privilege to Study with Two Legendary Bassist Ron Carter and Nat Reeves. Jason Clotter is also sponsored by Legendary String Company Labella. Jason graduated from Purchase college in 2020 and has since stormed the Jazz scene as an upcoming Rising Star Bassist. It is Jason's mission to create beautiful music and keeping the the jazz tradition alive and thriving.
