5-Day Intensive Workshop for Singers & Songwriters (Ages 15 and Up)
The Summer Vocal Academy, presented by the Powell River Academy of Music, offers an exciting opportunity to enhance your skills in vocal technique, performance, and songwriting. This 5-day intensive program is specifically designed for singers and songwriters aged 15 and older. Participants will delve into a variety of topics, including stylistic interpretation, stage presence, microphone technique, improvisation, and songwriting essentials. Each day, singers will engage in a Performance Masterclass and explore diverse musical styles such as Jazz, Blues, Broadway, and Latin. The week will culminate in a Friday evening Gala Concert, featuring performances by the participants, held at the James Hall. Additionally, daily evening jam sessions and community-building activities promise to make this a memorable summer experience.
