VERY IMPORTANT NOTES: LADIES - PLAN ON WEARING UNREVEALING BOTTOMS. Its a request from the campus that the ladies wear less revealing bottoms. Sports bra tops, etc are fine.
We are on private school grounds and I would like to respect their wishes so that our league can be welcomed back. Thanks :)
TWO LEAGUE DATES WILL BE MOVED TO SATURDAY INSTEAD OF THEIR SUNDAY COUNTERPARTS: League will be on Saturdays JUNE 13TH AND JUNE 27TH because theres a tournament sunday.
TEAMS WITH FULL ROSTER WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY. Get me your partner ASAP.
This league consists of a Womens 12 team league starting at 1:00PM on Sunday, then a Mens 12 team league starting at 5:00PM, same day.

Last Day to put in a team is June 4th
*Time and Date: League will start June 7th and End July 26th.
Women's Start Time - 1:00PM
Mens Start Time - 5:00PM
*Location - Corban University Beach Courts - Warrior Dr, Salem, OR 97317
*League Details: The league will be 8 weeks long ending the week just before seaside.
*Format will be a weekly work up or down. Winning both sets means you go up a court, losing both, you go down. Playoff placement points will be awarded based on wins/losses for the week and count towards upper and lower seeding for week 8.
The first two weeks of league no one will get points as teams move around and get seeded naturally.
Games will be best out of 3.

Cap at 23 and 17.
*Sub Rules* - We allow any subs to participate from outside of the league before playoffs. If you are grabbing a sub from someone playing in the league, you will need to first grab someone from YOUR court. If no one is available, you will need to get approval from ben or I on who you are taking from another court.

Captains Meeting? There will be NO captains meeting. Ben and I have confidence that this community can be open, honest, and willing to help make this league run smoothly. ALL RULES WILL BE POSTED ON THIS EVENT PAGE. We have a lot of role models in this community that we will depend on to uphold integrity of sand rules and respecting the Corban Courts and Dan Steven's generosity to allow us to use them. We understand that there will be arguments and different interpretations of the rules, so we have a basic list to follow. If you have questions or feel that we missed something on our rules, please feel free to ask Ben or I at any point.
HOUSEKEEPING: This is non-negotiable... DO NOT, bring alcohol.

DO NOT vape or smoke at any point while you are on the courts. This is a private campus, we have permission to be here, but it is a privilege that is not to be taken for granted. Thank you 🙂

Sand Rules:
*Open hand receives/doubles are OK on hard driven balls.
*Setting is OK on first contact serve-receive, but set must be unquestionably clean. (following AVP guidelines).
*If you hand set, you cannot double. Set must be clean. Call is up to the Ref's discretion.
*Block DOES count as a touch
*NO directional set over (shoulders must be squared when setting forward)
*NO open hand tipping
*A net is a net (hair is OK)
*Rally scoring
*Let serves are OK
*Skyball on set-point if ur cool
