Summer Star Parties with the Palouse Astronomical Society

Come explore the sky with us! Members of the Palouse Astronomical Society will be gathering once again at Virgil Phillips Park with their telescopes and laser pointers to show the community what there is to see in the night sky. We gather by the gazebo. A few things...
*This is a free event.
*This is a weather pending event, if you can't see the stars than neither can our telescopes! Any official cancellations will be posted here on Facebook.
*Please be respectful and turn your headlights off once entering the parking lot. Red lights on the field are also requested, it's easier on the eyes.
*Feel free to bring your own gear! Bringing warm clothing, a blanket, and a chair is also advised.
*No gear, no problem! Binoculars also work, and we will also be sharing views through our telescopes.
*Ask lots of questions, it's the only way to learn! There won't be anything official happening at the party, but members are happy to answer any questions you may have or show you whatever you may like that happens to be visible.
*This is NOT an actual "party" per se. It's a gathering of amateur (and sometimes professional) astronomers, telescope nerds, and night sky lovers so don't expect loud music or a show of any kind. It's a community gathering to simply enjoy and learn about the night sky together.

We hope to see you out there!
