Summer Soothers Concert

Join us for an uplifting afternoon of classical favourites, opera, and musical theatre in the beautiful setting of St Nicholas’ Church, Guildford.

Performed by young professional singers Thea Callaghan, Kate Lowe, Gary Rushton, and pianist Duncan Appleby, the programme includes beloved works by Handel, Donizetti, Puccini, and songs from Les Misérables, The Sound of Music, and Man of La Mancha.

Highlights include Una furtiva lagrima, E lucevan le stelle, The Impossible Dream, Bring Him Home, Ombra mai fu, and more.

Admission is free, with donations warmly welcomed in support of St Nicholas’ Church as it prepares to celebrate its 150th anniversary. Funds raised will contribute towards the commissioning of a new musical work by acclaimed British composer Will Todd to mark this special occasion.
