Cascadia Grove will be holding our Summer Solstice Ritual at Edge of The Circle Books on Sunday June 21st @ 5pm PDT. All folk of good will are invited!
We will stream the ritual via zoom for those who are unable to attend in person. This will depend on available bandwidth, but we will do our best.
Parking and building info are at the end of this event description.
Shane will be leading our rite. We will honor Taranis, Gaulish god of thunder and storms, as well as Sulis, British-Celtic goddess of hot springs and the sun.
There will be time in the middle of the ritual for personal offerings. Appropriate offerings for both Taranis and Sulis include small images of wheels and solar chariots, alcoholic drinks (such as whiskey, wine, beer, mead, or cider), and food. Flowers from your garden might also be an appropriate offering for Sulis. Offerings of song, dance, or poetry that relate to our God and Goddess are always welcome. Offerings to other personal gods are also welcome.
Offerings are optional.
After the ritual, we will have time for questions and discussion. Cascadia Grove is committed to the inclusion of folks of good will. With this in mind, we ask everyone on this call to practice awareness and sensitivity in regards to conversations about sex, race, gender, sexuality and other protected and marginalized groups. We ask that this time be focused on subjects of Pagan interest. Politics are filling people's minds a lot these days but we ask that folks keep the conversation apolitical to encourage a purposeful space for matters Pagan.
We will do our best to make zoom streaming work, but tech can be a fickle friend. Streaming has worked so far, so I expect it to be fine
We will be closing admittance to the Zoom ritual at 5:10. Please make sure you are on Zoom with us by then.
