The Center of Light for Applied Metaphysics will be celebrating the Summer Solstice: Sunday June 21st at 11:00am. Please bring a snack to share after the service!!
Corrine Helene tells us that “The Summer Solstice marks the culmination of the solar year, when nature attains to the very peak of perfection. The keynote of the time is Transformation, and everywhere man turns he sees the evidence of a magical formula by which that transformation has been accomplished.
The spiritual keynote, as known to the celestial Hierarchies, is Spiritual Ecstasy, for they achieved both Transmutation and Transformation long ago in earlier periods of the solar evolution.”
This is Archangel Uriel’s time of the year. Uriel is the angel of Beauty and Vision.
Solstice comes from the Latin (sol, sun; sistit, stands) which means sun stands still. For several days before and after each solstice, the sun appears to stand still in the sky—that is, its noontime elevation does not seem to change.
At the time of Summer Solstice (this year being June 21st at 3:24am CDT, the sun is directly overhead at noon at the Tropic of Cancer.
