Summer Solstice celebration

Welcome the Summer Solstice with an evening of wellbeing and community with this laid back and relaxing event.

What's involved

This event is in two parts - you can attend the whole evening or just the first part.

Part one - in the park - 7 to 8.15pm:

• Mindful nature connection walk in the park, noticing the themes of the soltice & appreciating the beauty of the season
• Outdoor qigong - qigong is a gentle mindful movemnet practice that honours our connection with the rest of nature and the energy of the season. No equitpment or experience needed.
• Meditation - a short solstice themed meditation

Part two - in my garden (limited places available)- 8.30 to 9.45pm

For those attending the whole event, we'll then take a short walk to my garden for:

• Sunset fire pit - celebrating light and all it represents. Enjoy solstice themed readings and time to gaze into the embers
• Summer drink (non-alcoholic) and seasonal snacks
• Marshmallow toasting
• Write & burn activty - release your burdens and old patterns with this cathartic ritual
• Creative intention setting practice with handmade item to take home.

All genders are welcome, come solo or bring a friend. Regulars and new faces very welcome, no experience needed. Adults (18+) only.

Please note this event starts at 7pm prompt so arrive 5 minutes in advance. We will meet at the Tea'Osk in Lightoaks park. Full details will be sent to particpants the week of the event.

Bad weather contingency: if it's a rainy evening we'll still go ahead, with some adaptations such as a longer walking instead of qigong. Part two will take place inside my home. In case of a storm the event will be cancelled and you will be refunded.

Qigong practice notice: I am currently a qigong trainee teacher. Whilst this practice is very low risk it's important that you adjust any movements to suit your body. Qigong is done standing and does not require high levels of fitness. Any questions please get in touch.
