Summer Sing! Holiday ProgrammeA 3-day children’s choir programme held at Nga Maara Hall, Sacred Heart School, Dunedin, from 22–24 January 2026. Open to children and teens aged 7–15, with participants divided into Junior and Senior streams. The programme is led by Choral Director Natasha Manowitz, Pianist Susan Frame, and Instrumentalist Helen Rutherford.
What to expect:
⭐ Warm-ups, song learning and musicianship sessions, concluding with a concert and shared lunch
⭐ Junior and Senior streams
⭐ Open to all children in this age range and all voice types who are keen to find out what it’s like to be part of a choir, learn new songs and make new friends. This can be taken as a ‘taster’ for the year ahead or enjoyed as a one-off holiday programme
⭐ $40 for three days of workshops, including morning or afternoon tea and a performance
Programme structure:
Junior Stream (for 7-10 year olds)
The Junior Stream will run in the mornings on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 January, from 9.30am–12.00pm. Sessions include a warm-up, song learning and musicianship, with two breaks for drinks, snacks and playtime.
Senior Stream (for 11-15 year olds)
The Senior Stream will run in the afternoons on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 January, from 1.00–3.30pm.
On Saturday 24 January, both choirs will come together for a shared lunchtime concert, followed by a potluck lunch. More details to come!
