Summer Shorts Workshop. Part 1 - Pattern Making

In this Pajama Pants Workshop – Part 1, you’ll learn how to draft a personalized shorts pattern from scratch—designed to fit your body perfectly.

By the end of the class, you’ll have a reusable base pattern that you can use again and again to create a variety of styles—from casual everyday shorts to beachwear, lounge shorts, or even pajama bottoms.

This session focuses entirely on pattern making and is designed to be fun, approachable, and beginner-friendly.

📏 How body measurements translate into paper patterns

✂️ How to adjust patterns when your measurements differ from standard sizing

This method gives you a strong foundation for understanding fit, proportion, and pattern adjustment — skills you can reuse for future garments.

This is an ideal first-ever pattern-making project.

📄 Pattern making only (no sewing required for Part 1)

📏 Understanding measurements, fit, and basic adjustments

With over 25 years of experience under my belt (yes, I started early!) I've honed my skills as a tailor, pattern maker, and sewing technologist. Specializing in women’s clothing, and utilizing my One Fitting method, I’ve brought countless unique garments to life, turning my clients’ visions into reality. I have deep experience with teaching sewing classes around the world I am excited to bring my expertise to The Nest.
