Join our first ever Summer Sewing Camp!
This 5 day camp is perfect for beginners from 10 years old to 99!
In the course we will learn the basic of sewing machines and make 2 complete projects. You will learn stitches, tools, techniques, and insider tips from a seasoned seamstress.
Our goal is for you to confidently l earn how to use a sewing machiene by the time you finish our camp. We will be learning more than just how to sew with a machine. We will learn to read and cut patterns, learn how to properly cut and pin fabric, and learn from our inevitable mistakes.
Once comfortable with your machine we will test our skills with a simple pillow case project.
After we have gotten our first project complete we will move to learn how to measure, make patterns, and cut out a pair of tailored to you shorts!
Machines are provided along with a kit of basic tools for you to keep. You are also allowed to bring your own machiene if you prefer to learn on it. Please let us know if you plan to bring your own in the page provided at check out.
In past experiences we have learned providing fabric can be limiting so we have a compromise.
you have 2 ticket options:
Option 1: 5 days of sewing camp with ALL FABRIC PROVIDED (($200))
(this means your fabric options will be preselected and you will choose from what we have available)
or
option 2: 5 days of sewing camp and you will PROVIDE YOUR OWN FABRIC (($160))
(this means you are responsible for providing 2 yards of your own fabric print of your choosing.)
(PLEASE NOTE: fabric must be lightweight cotton blend and 45 inches wide. NO knit fabrics. we recommend pre-shrinking your fabric by washing and drying your fabric before hand.) *all requirements
*If you choose option 2 here's what you need to know. You will need 2 yards of light weight cotton blend fabric in any print you like. (michaels and hobby lobby have a good selection) 1 yard for your pillow case and 1 yard for your pair of shorts. Please verify that your fabric is 45inches wide. (NO knit (stretchy) fabrics) we recommend pre-shrinking your fabric by washing and drying before hand. You may also choose matching thread colors or use what we have available.
JULY 9TH will be the last day available for booking so we can best prepare and ensure all needed supplies are provided!!!

-Feel free to bring a beverage of your choice with a lid
-Smoking and vaping allowed outside only
