Summer School for Certified Doers is about learning how government actually works, and how you can make it work better.

Whether you've ever said "Someone should do something about that," or you've had an idea sitting in your notes app for years, this day is for you.

We'll spend the day breaking down the Virginia legislative process into plain language and practical tools.

You'll learn how to:

• Understand how a bill becomes law in Virginia
• Turn an idea into actual legislation
• Build policy that solves real problems
• Advocate effectively with elected officials
• Navigate the legislative process with confidence

Then, we'll put it into practice.

We'll close the day with our Policy Pitch Contest, where attendees can pitch their own policy ideas, receive feedback, and compete for bragging rights and maybe the next great legislative idea.
