Experience a night 65 million years in the making! Join the Independence Public Library for an epic outdoor kickoff to our summer season. We’re bringing the blockbuster thrills of Jurassic Park to the big screen, but the adventure starts long before the film rolls.
Arrive at 7:30 PM to explore our immersive outdoor exhibit, "When Kansas Was an Ocean," and discover the prehistoric monsters that once ruled the Sunflower State.
Pre-Show Expeditions include:
The Dino Dig: Excavate real fossils, shark teeth, and amber.
The Raptor Eye VR: Step into a virtual prehistoric world.
DNA Sequencing: Code your own custom "genetic" jewelry.
The Chaos Theory Forum: Join the community discussion on science and ethics.
PROMO ALERT: The first 100 attendees to visit our station and sign up for the "Unearth a Story" Summer Reading Program will receive a FREE limited-edition IPL tote bag!
Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and your favorite fellow explorers. The story is ancient, but the adventure is tonight!
