Summer Nature Academies | Survival 101 For Third - Fourth Graders (Ages 8 - 10)
Our specialized Summer Nature Academies are a great way to get children off the couch and into nature this summer! We offer immersive, hands-on outdoor experiences with fun weekly themes led by professional educators and naturalists. If your child loves to explore and learn, our academies are the perfect opportunity!
Participants will leave this academy knowing basic wilderness survival skills!They will learn how to properly pack for
a safe hiking trip, build a fire, craft a shelter, tie knots and more. The week will end in an obstacle course challenge!
Survival 101 Dates:
July 24-26 (9 AM-12 PM) #SURVIVE.01
Registration begins April 15 for Shelby Township residents and April 22 for nonresidents. $60 per resident, $70 per nonresident.
