Everyday Wonders
The Cecilian Choir and ensemble is joined by a choir of local primary schoolchildren for a performance of 'Everyday Wonders: the girl from Aleppo,' the tale of Kurdish refugee, Nujeen, and her flight across borders to sacntuary in Germany, by Cecilia McDowall to a text by Kevin Crossley-Holland.
The programme also includes music exploring the idea of travel, home and belonging incuding Ola Gjeilo's cinematic 'The Road' for choir and ensemble, and John Cage's mesmerising 'In a Landscape' for piano.
We are delighted to be joined by pupils from Borden Primary, Minterne Primary, Bredgar Primary, Milstead Primary, Selling Primary, Petham Primary, Dymchurch Primary, Lydd Primary, and Lynsted and Norton Primary.
