The Michigan Summer Backgammon Championships is one of the most prestigious and long-standing events in the American Backgammon Tour, celebrating over 50 years of competitive play.
Held annually over the July 4th holiday, it attracts over 150 participants ranging from world-class Grandmasters to enthusiastic beginners.
The championship is part of the American Backgammon Tour (ABT) and is known for its high level of organization and welcoming atmosphere. It currently takes place at the Sheraton Detroit Novi, located just north of Detroit.
