Summer Improv Comedy Intensive & Showcase
About this Event
Whether you're looking to gain confidence, be more spontaneous, learn about improv, or simply have fun, this introductory 8-week program is for you! You'll learn hands-on exercises that will encourage you to think on your feet and sharpen your wit. The class is sure to be filled with laughter and positivity. We will build on skills each week and as a special treat we will end with a showcase for friends, family, and the public on September 12th. It's sure to be an outrageously good time! All experiences welcome.
Classes are on Saturdays 7/18, 7/25, 8/1, 8/8, 8/15 (no class 8/22), 8/29, 9/5, 9/12 from 10am - 12pm

Instructed by Brian Sallade
Brian has had a love for comedy and acting for as long as he can remember. He began performing improv as a student (now graduate) at the College of William and Mary. Continuing his journey, he studied at the iO Theatre and The Second City in Chicago. He has been performing and teaching in Virginia since 2015 at comedy clubs, businesses, and festivals such as the Roanoke Comedy Fest, 2nd Best Fest (Richmond), Last Word Comedy Festival (Williamsburg), MAGfest (National Harbor, MD), and Floyd Fest. His favorite improviser is his five-year-old daughter who keeps him on his toes daily.
