Creative Friday Afternoons for Ages 6-12
1.15-3.15pm | Milton Village Hall | Ages 6-12
Join us this summer for hands-on art adventures at Milton Village Hall. Each workshop lasts two hours and children will leave with a finished project they're proud to take home. No experience needed – just imagination and clothes you don't mind getting a little paint on!

Friday 24th July: Painted Tote Bags
Turn an ordinary tote bag into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece! We'll paint playful designs where the bag handles become part of the artwork, from flamingo necks and dinosaur tails to cheeky monkeys swinging through the trees. Children will learn simple painting techniques and leave with a practical piece of art they can use all summer long.

Friday 7th August: Koi Pond Mixed Media
Create a beautiful koi pond bursting with colour! We'll combine painting, paper folding and collage techniques to make a stunning 3D artwork complete with swimming koi fish, lily pads and flowers. This is a brilliant session for children who love getting stuck into lots of different materials.

Inspired by everyone's favourite floating house, we'll create a magical mixed-media canvas featuring a colourful little house soaring through the clouds with clay balloons. Children will paint, sculpt and build a project that's full of imagination and adventure.

Friday 21st August: Axolotl Painting
Meet the internet's cutest amphibian! We'll paint an adorable pink axolotl swimming amongst bubbles in this fun canvas session. Children will learn simple acrylic painting techniques while creating a cheerful artwork that's guaranteed to make them smile.

Friday 28th August: Clay Turtle Canvas
Create your very own turtle friend! We'll sculpt a turtle from clay before mounting it onto a painted canvas inspired by rivers, lakes and oceans. This hands-on session combines painting and sculpture and is perfect for children who love getting creative and a little bit messy.
