NOTE: Meet at the UCC parking lot by 9:15 for a 45 minute carpool ride to the beautiful rolling hills of Gladwin and hiking along the Cedar River. Bring a picnic lunch and a folding chair or blanket so that after our 2.5 mile hike, we can enjoy lunch near the parking area. As an added highlight, we plan to travel to The Corner House after lunch for some of Gladwin’s best ice cream, where they are celebrating their 50th year in business this
summer.
Directions: Use PlusCode 3C9M+VG Gladwin, Michigan in Google Maps. The Preserve is located on Shearer Road just south of M18, and north of Schmidt Road.
In the event of rain, Saturday July 27 at 9:15 AM is the alternate time.
Since we will be walking on outdoor nature trails, you should expect uneven terrain (roots, rocks, possibly wet/muddy), and be prepared for the day's weather.
