Summer Harvest Feast and Farm open day
About this Event
We are coming together to celebrate local food and the peak of Summer Harvest.
Traditionally celebrated as Lammas, the great harvest festival marking the peak abundance of the lands and the sharing of this wealth. This is an important date in the farming calendar, so we wanted to bring community together to celebrate the power of local food.
We are running a farm abundance feast. We'll provide a big main dish from our farm ingredients. We are inviting you to bring a side dish, salads, spreads or dessert with at least one ingredient from local farms - we will co-create a feast of seasonal abundance together! No worries if you're short on time, but pelase donate a little more if you can so we can cover food, live music, organising, set up and clean down costs. Bring your own plate, mug and cutlery if you can this will help us a lot !
There will also be a short farm tour & walk from 4pm for anyone wishing to see the farm in its summer glory, and to give thanks to the lands for this abundant time.
Live music from local musicians will be provided and we will have a local crafts and food mini market pop up to celebrate the produce and creatives of our valley and bioregion.
