Summer Friday Music Series: The Longtime Pickers

The Longtime Pickers are a traditional bluegrass group consisting of Nick Anderson, Cheryl Plecan, and Jim Plecan. Nick plays rhythm guitar, sings lead and tenor and is an award-winning songwriter. The multi-talented Jim plays fiddle and mandolin and also sings lead and tenor. Cheryl, Jim's wife, plays smoking hot 5-string banjo—having taken lessons from the renowned Mike Kropp! Their music includes a wide variety of traditional bluegrass songs and instrumentals with a few of Nick's original songs as well and is guaranteed to get your toes tapping! The band has played throughout eastern Connecticut.
