Light up your summer!Don’t miss our upcoming Summer Family Make-In—a joyful celebration of artmaking for all ages, inspired by the dazzling light and flowing forms of Nancy Genn: The Nature of Being. Let the sparkle of summer light and water guide your creativity as you build playful sculptures and water-inspired creations using paint, paper, and natural materials.
Artists Beth Krebs, Todd Gilens, and Lucero Vargas will lead engaging workshops that draw on themes of water, emotions, and stories of nature and self. Lucero Vargas, in partnership with Raizes Collective, will lead a bilingual Spanish- and English-language artmaking station.
At 1 PM, enjoy a performance of Mexican traditional dance by young dancers from Grupo Folklórico Quetzalén! What a perfect way for families to spend a creative summer day at the museum.
Saturday, August 16, 11 AM-3 PM
Free for children under 18, $10 per parent.
Pre-registration is recommended.
