Worship in the Digital Age with Rev. Matt German (will be available by ZOOM)
Rev. Matt German is an ordained elder in the Iowa Annual Conference and has served in both rural and urban contexts. He is the lead pastor of Salem United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids. Matt has an extensive background in worship technology, which includes live streaming, live sound, and in-house visual systems. Matt consults independently with multiple denominations to help congregations find technical solutions for their sanctuary systems. He is a husband, a father, a lover of the outdoors, and a passionate servant of Jesus.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the essential tools and best practices for using technology to enhance worship experiences in both in-person and online settings. From sound systems and livestreaming setups to presentation software and in-house video, we’ll cover how to use technology purposefully to support, not distract from, meaningful worship. Whether you’re new to tech ministry or looking to improve your current setup, this session will provide practical guidance, real-world examples, and time for Q&A to help you confidently lead and support worship through technology.
