Bigger, Bolder, and More Fun for Summer!This summer, ignite your child's creativity with our enhanced Drawing Essentials course, designed specifically for youth aged 11–17. Under the guidance of professional artist Neil Smith, students will delve into fundamental drawing techniques, including sketching from photos, life, and imagination; three-dimensional drawing; perspective; and shading to convey form and light.
What sets this summer edition apart is its emphasis on student-driven projects. Each participant will collaborate with the instructor to establish personalized learning goals, culminating in a unique project that reflects their individual interests and skill level. This approach ensures that both beginners and returning students find the course challenging and rewarding.
Topics covered will include:
Sketching from photos
Sketching from life
Sketching from imagination
Three-dimensional drawing
Perspective drawing
Describing form with light and shadow
Taking a rough sketch to a finished piece
