Clarinettist, George Blakesley, joins Worcester Philharmonic to perform Mozart's Clarinet Concerto - a masterpiece of Classical refinement and lyrical depth. Also on the programme is Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 5, the “Reformation.” Composed in 1830 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession, this symphony reflects the triumph of faith and the enduring spirit of the Protestant Reformation.
Mendelssohn's Overture to A Midsummer Night's Dream & Weber's Overture to Oberon precede these two magnificent works.
K.B. Catering will be selling a selection of cakes, together with tea, coffee & soft drinks from 1:30pm and during the interval. Interval refreshments can also be pre-ordered before the concert begins.
