Annandale Village is offering TWO weeks of summer camp opportunities for teens and young adults in 2024, in partnership with Social Skills Today! These camps provide a supportive and inclusive environment for people with various developmental disabilities. A range of activities and experiences tailored to the unique needs of individuals with disabilities through engaging and fun summertime activities will be offered.At Camp All Star, learn how to play a few different sports, as well as how to be on a team and work with a partner! Campers will also learn how to be good fans and show good sportsmanship.
All camps are at George Pierce Park, 55 Buford Hwy., NE, Suwanee, from 9:30a.m. to 3p.m.
Campers will need to bring their own lunch and snack daily, as well as a complete change of clothes.
Who’s a successful camper?
• Teens and young adults ages 14-24 with developmental disabilities
• Someone who follows one-step directions independently
• Someone who needs minimal prompting with daily living skills
• Someone who is not aggressive towards peers
Both camps are staffed and run by Social Skills Today. Our employees are individuals who have a passion for working with young adults, and a special interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Parents can be confident that their child’s social, language and behavioral needs are being met each day at camp.
All employees are required to have a background check.
