UTC+00:00Location
43421 N Friend Ave, San Tan Valley, AZ, United States, Arizona 85140 | Queen Creek, AZ
Choose from 4-day camps in a sensory-friendly environment with a focus on either horsemanship & animal care skills, the fun of STEAM on a ranch, or a 1-day camp 'sampler'.
Horsemanship Skills: 8 am-10 am
Horses 101! Did you know that a horse heart is the size of a basketball? Did you know that horses eat 2% of their body weight each day? How much does a horse weigh and how do we 'weigh' a horse? Where is a frog on a horse and how many are there? Kids will learn all of this, plus grooming, crafts, games, cooking animal treats, and much more. This camp focuses on knowledge and care for the horses (and soon to include goats, pigs and chickens!) around the ranch. *Lots of animal non-mounted animal interaction but riding is not guaranteed during this camp.
STEAM on the Ranch: 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm
STEAM is used every day in a ranch environment- let's find it as our campers explore the animals and facility focusing on science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Create unique animal feeders, learn gardening techniques, nurture aquatic ecology, build engineering marvels to make life better for our ranch friends, create unique art masterpieces, and much more as we combine learning with the fun of animals! ** This program is unmounted with lots of ground-based animal interaction and culminates with a water day on the last day!
Single Day Samplers: 8 am- 12:30 pm
One day of Horsemanship Skill and STEAM at the Ranch favorite activities.** This program is unmounted with lots of ground-based animal interaction.
**Special care is put into adaptations for our campers with unique needs to have a positive social experience with their peers. However, the summer camp program may not be a good fit for some children. Campers who are unable to independently use a toilet, control emotional outbursts safely, participate in groups with a leadership ratio of 1:5, receive directions, or tolerate safety equipment must provide their own 16+ year-old support provider.
Please contact Rebecca at [email protected] for questions regarding your child's needs.
Campers must bring a water bottle, and snack, and wear close-toed shoes each day.
Complete a separate survey for each child you are registering. Priority will be given to current/ past Manes and Miracles clients and their family members.
