Summer Camp - Akshayakalpa Organic

It’s already summer. The sun’s blazing. The days are longer. Exams are over. Schools are closed. And kids are… absolutely feral indoors. 

The holidays sound exciting until day three, when everyone`s stir-crazy, the TV hasn`t been off in 48 hours, and "I`m bored" is already on repeat. 

What if this summer felt… different? 

Not just another holiday spent indoors. But something cooler. Messier. Happier. What if instead of the usual camps and classes, you handed them the summer you grew up on? The one you still talk about. 

Running wild with no destination. Coming home caked in mud without a care. Drinking cold buttermilk after a long afternoon outside. Eating whatever your mom made when you dragged yourself back exhausted and happy. That feeling. When did we stop giving that to our kids?   

Somewhere between city chaos, busy lives, and concrete walls, that version of childhood quietly slipped away. 

And maybe, without realising it, our kids are missing out on it. The kind where they run through fields, not between rooms. Where getting dirty isn’t a problem, it’s the plan. 

So what`s the fun, exactly? 

Mud baths. Calf feeding. Pump set showers. Village games that end with everyone on the ground laughing. Vegetables pulled fresh from the earth. Seedball making. The whole beautiful, chaotic thing. 

And what do they learn along the way? 

Where food actually comes from. How to care for living things. What it feels like to do something with their hands and feel genuinely proud of it. The kind of learning no classroom ever could teach. 

What do they bring back home? 

A sun-kissed, soil-stained, wide-eyed look that says everything. Memories that don`t fade. And happiness that no phone screen can compete with. 

This isn`t about keeping them busy. It`s about giving them something that actually matters. 

A summer they won`t scroll past. One they`ll carry with them long after the sun goes down.
