Description: For the teen program, students will explore various ideas of kipuka through the lens of self, ohana, our island community, and global awareness. The program is designed for a more intimate exchange and deeper dive into craftsmanship inviting 10 students to work closely with artists that work in metalsmithing, ceramics, printmaking and sound art.
Course Syllabus:
Week 1: Ceramics with Joey Chiarello
Week 2: Metalsmithing with Theresa Lovering-Brown
Week 3: Printmaking with Hunter Buck
Weeks 4 & 5: Electronic Music & Sound Art with Seb Choe
