Sullivan's Travels (1941) on 35mm | Hollywood Summer Nights
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: Tired of churning out fluffy comedies, a Hollywood director decides to write a serious, socially responsible film entitled “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” When his producers point out that he knows nothing of hardship, he hits the road as a hobo with an out-of-work actress. This delightful Sturges comedy is a blend of laughs, drama and Hollywood satire.
Presented on 35mm. Print preserved by the Library of Congress.
