So here we are - the next SUJ theme night (#27, if you're counting), and this time we'll be revisiting the halcyon days of the late 70s and early 80s when the spirit of punk met the vibrant sounds of ska to create the cultural and musical phenomenon that was 2 Tone.
As usual, this will be a Southampton Ukulele Jam twist on the vinyl listening party. We'll be listening to each of the original songs, and then playing each track together, as a ukulele jam. Getting a sense of how it was done, and then jamming together, putting SUJ's very unique spin on each tune.
Setlist is still to be decided, but be sure it will include classics from the likes of The Specials, Madness, The Beat, Selecter, Bad Manners and The Bodysnatchers.

We’re back at our regular venue - The Cricketers Arms in Woolston. It’s just over the bridge, there’s some parking at the back of the pub, and there is also parking in the nearby Portsmouth Road Car Park.
