5 spaces available in total!Join us for a full-day woodworking session to build your very own iconic Suilven Bookcase from reclaimed scaffold boards — guided step-by-step by one of our expert woodworkers.
You’ll begin the day with a short tour of our South Street workshop, where you’ll learn about the journey reclaimed timber makes: from sorting and “stickering” to preparing for reuse. From there, we’ll take you through the complete build process: cutting, assembling and finishing your bookcase. There’ll also be the opportunity to choose how many and where your shelves will be fitted too. Midway through the session we’ll take a lunch break, then reconvene to complete and finish your Suilven.
You’ll finish your bookcase with a clear stain, our most popular finish option which highlights all the character within the reclaimed wood whilst helping to prolong the life of the product. We’ll then arrange with you a later date to collect as the bookcase will need curing/drying time.
The session begins at 10:00am and will finish at approximately 4:00pm.
