SUBTEXT Creative Workshop: #3 Making the Film Appear
About this Event
Join International artist Parham Ghalamdar for a series of 3 creative workshops, inspired by the National Year of Reading.
Together, you’re invited to collaborate with Parham on a new artwork ‘Subtitles for a Film That Does Not Yet Exist’. At these workshops, collective reading becomes filmmaking.
At session 3, words and images meet. Connect subtitles and images to shape your own stories, revealing connections and narratives. How do the subtitles change the way we understand images? What can be read into the pictures?
Throughout the session, experiment with different texts, images and timings. You’ll become the editor and director of your own three-frame scene and contribute to a collective sequence that begins to build the final film.
You don’t need to know anything about filmmaking to be a part of this session; you’ll be guided through hands-on creation to create your storyboard. It’s a creative way to be part of something larger: a film that doesn’t exist yet, but begins to appear because of your choices.
